This Privacy Policy explains how SPOT (a service operated by Kakamu Eito, trading as "SPOT Fitness") ("SPOT", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the SPOT app and website (the "Service"). By using SPOT you agree to this Policy.

SPOT is operated by Kakamu Eito (an individual, trading as "SPOT Fitness"). SPOT provides a fitness and nutrition app that helps you plan meals, track progress, find supplements and gyms, and connect with a community. We (Kakamu Eito) are the data controller for the information described below.
We use your information to: provide and personalise the Service (targets, meal plans, the "Today's coach" analysis); enable sign-in and sync across devices; run community features you choose to use; process SPOT Pro subscriptions; improve, secure and troubleshoot the Service; and communicate with you about the Service.
When the AI coach is enabled, the questions you send and relevant data about you (such as your goal, targets and what you have logged today) are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the coach. Your messages are used to produce your answer and are handled under our provider's terms.
Photos you add are used to show your progress over time. They are stored on your device and, if you are signed in, in your private Firebase Storage. Photos are only shared with others if you post them into a community room.
SPOT includes links to supermarkets, supplement retailers (such as Amazon and iHerb) and gyms. Some links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy — at no extra cost to you. When you click, the retailer or affiliate network may receive standard referral information. We are not responsible for those third parties' sites or policies.
We share limited data with providers that help us run SPOT, each under their own privacy terms:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We use local/browser storage and similar technologies to make the app work (sign-in, settings, your logs). We do not use advertising trackers. If we add analytics later, we will update this Policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR, and Australia under the Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account or ask us to erase your data, we delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or security reasons.
SPOT is intended for people aged 16 and over. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (including provider security controls and access rules) to protect your data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Because we use global providers (e.g. Firebase, Cloudflare), your data may be processed in countries with different data-protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide a notice in the app.
